Thai Wisdom Kanchanaburi Co.,Ltd. originated in September 2002 in Amphur Saiyok, Kanchanaburi province after a meeting between local people and professionals in sustainable tourism, herbal product and local product development. The goal of Thai Wisdom is for the producers to earn their livelihood whilst saving the local wildlife, environment and culture at the same time.
The Concept of a Green Business gives members of the community the opportunity to actively participate in the governance of the company whilst maintaining its independence and promoting a morally and socially responsible method of doing business.
At present Thai Wisdom has 83 registered partners committed to conservation and green living. The partners are made up from the local community including housewives, farmers, community leaders, local government, teachers, nurses, police officers, veterinarians, pharmacists, scientists, employees, businessmen and owners of SMEs etc.
Thai Wisdom is the realization of a concept by the local community to share in the development of an environmentally-minded business. In order to bring this unique concept to life, the partners/shareholders raised funds and made donations ranging from 100 Baht to 100,000 Baht. Thai Wisdom opened its doors for business on the 5th of April 2003 with a product line ranging from Herbal Candy to herbal remedies.
Thai Wisdom aims to continue developing its products and expand its network to include Organic Farming, Thai Herbal Production, Health Promotion, Environmental and Cultural Conservation, Dharma and Meditation, Sustainable Development and Tourism etc.
Thai Wisdoms values are Quality of Life, Environment and beautiful Culture.
